The Ram Spirit
The spirit squads consist of a co-ed cheer team, an all-woman cheer team, the Golden Pom dance team, CAM the Ram the mascot, and the university marching band. The spirit squads at Colorado State University support CSU's athletic teams, football, volleyball, and men's and women's basketball. The squads continue to create an exciting environment for all Ram fans by cheering and entertaining. The CSU spirit group's main purpose and objectives are:
All CSU spirit group representatives and team members are held to conduct themselves in a proper manner (no violence, alcohol, drugs, etc.), and in accordance with all NCAA, Mountain West Conference, AACCA and Colorado State University rules and regulations.

The Colorado State University Marching Band is a dynamic and growing organization. The band has continued to grow in size and popularity. In 2003, the band numbered over 210 and has entertained audiences for years with high-powered music and contemporary show designs. The marching band performs at all home football games in addition to selected away games and exhibition performances at high school marching contests. Other performances of the band include the 2001 New Orleans Bowl, multiple appearances at the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, TN, the Holiday Bowl in San Diego, CA, and the Colorado Bandmaster's Association High School State Championships at Invesco Field at Mile High. Ethics and Sportsmanship Statement All aspects of intercollegiate athletics contests shall be conducted in a sportsmanlike manner. It is the responsibility of each member institution in the Mountain West Conference to ensure that all individuals associated with its athletics program conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner. All members of the Conference shall exhibit ethical behavior at all NCAA and Conference competition. Conference members shall conduct themselves in accordance with the rules of the NCAA and Conference and the playing rules of the respective sports. The athletics personnel of a member institution shall refrain from making negative comments regarding an opposing institution or its players, teams,coaches/staff or game officials. Each member institution shall create a healthy environment for competition. Administrators, coaches and student-athletes, as well as others involved in intercollegiate athletics in the Conference, share this responsibility.
